Workshop Basics
No experience is required. Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their techniques. Our instructors provide step-by-step guidance throughout the entire process.
Our standard workshops run approximately 2-3 hours, which includes instruction time, hands-on crafting, and the curing period for your candles. Advanced workshops may run longer, up to 4 hours.
Our regular workshops are designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do offer family-friendly sessions for children aged 12 and up when accompanied by a participating adult. Please contact us for family workshop schedules.
We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing that you do not mind getting a bit messy. Closed-toe shoes are required in the studio. We provide aprons, but wax can occasionally splash.

Our standard workshops accommodate up to 12 participants to ensure everyone receives personalized attention. Private events can host up to 20 guests with additional instructors.
Yes, you may reschedule up to 48 hours before your scheduled workshop at no additional charge. Rescheduling within 48 hours may incur a fee. Please review our full policy on our Returns page.
Yes, gift certificates are available for all workshop packages in both digital and physical formats. They are valid for one year from the purchase date and can be redeemed for any scheduled workshop.
Materials and Products
Yes, all workshop fees include materials, tools, containers, fragrance oils, and packaging for your finished candles. You will leave with everything you create during the session.
We primarily use premium soy wax and coconut wax blends, which are natural, sustainable, and produce clean-burning candles. Some specialty workshops also feature beeswax options.
All our fragrance oils are phthalate-free and specifically formulated for candle making. They are skin-safe and meet IFRA standards. We also offer unscented options for those with sensitivities.
Yes, we offer take-home kits and individual supplies for purchase at our studio. Workshop participants receive a discount on supply purchases made the same day.
Private Events
Absolutely. We host birthday parties, bridal showers, team-building events, and corporate gatherings. Private events can be customized to match your theme, including custom scents and packaging.
Private events require a minimum of 6 participants. For smaller groups, you are welcome to join one of our scheduled public workshops.
Yes, we offer mobile workshops for corporate offices, venues, and private residences within the Chicago metropolitan area. Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside the city.
Yes, you are welcome to bring refreshments for your private event. We have a designated area for food and beverages separate from the crafting space. Alcoholic beverages require advance approval.
Candle Care
We recommend waiting at least 24-48 hours after your workshop before lighting your candle. This curing time allows the fragrance to fully bind with the wax and improves scent throw.
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges to prevent tunneling. Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time and keep away from drafts.
Burn time varies by candle size. A standard 8oz container candle typically provides 40-50 hours of burn time when properly cared for. Larger candles proportionally last longer.
Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep lids on container candles to preserve the fragrance. Properly stored candles can maintain their scent for years.
